-History of Pilates
The Pilates Method was developed by Joseph Pilates (1880-1967), a German.
As a child, he started to exercise to become healthy by suffering from rheumatoid, asthma, and tuberculosis. During World War I, he created various exercise programs and designed and distributed exercise methods using naked exercise and bed springs and frames for the health of prisoners.
Through this period, Pilates systematically and concretely developed the Pilates Method and moved to New York in 1926 for the first time to open the Pilates Studio with the concept of "Control" and spread it around the world.

 

-Principles of Pilates

Pilates can do strong exercise without causing pain. It is an exercise that can directly exercise the innermost muscles of the human body. You can strengthen your muscles by doing it consecutively without stopping.

Based on mat exercise, from the abdomen to hip (from the ribs to the pubic bones below the chest) are called Powerhouse or Core, and all movement focus on strengthening the core. When you breathe Pilates, it is very important to keep your belly button pulled as if it were absorbing it into the back of your spine by straining your abdomen. The abdomen is kept in tension and breathing to repeat movements.

 

-The Effect of Pilates

1. Strengthening muscle strength: It's not part strengthening of the body, but the whole exercise, and it's a symmetrical exercise that balances the body as a whole.

 

2. Pain reduction: The overall balance is achieved through symmetric motion, so the pain caused by the imbalance can be alleviated.

4. Flexibility- Most people have adapted to being in the wrong position for a long time in their daily lives, and bad posture is straining joints and muscles. Increasingly, the body's range of movement is limited, which strengthens the core through pilates, relaxes the muscles through stretching, and increases flexibility to help make the right posture.

 

5. Veterinary muscle dominance- Pilates is a body control exercise. You can learn how to control the contraction and relaxation of all muscles of the body in a voluntary manner. It makes it possible to make accurate movements, relax inappropriate tension, and make the body properly aligned.

 

6. Improved sense of balance - There are many central balancing movements that can improve the sense of balance.

 

- Beginner:

-Intermediate: 

Anyone who knows the flow of motion and can use muscles, who has been working on mat exercises for more than three months, or who can focus on breathing.
=If you use small tools with mat exercise, you can exercise more effectively. Small equipment use foam rollers, circle ring, and bands.

-Advanced: 

Anyone who can use the breathing and target muscle correctly when doing movements
